This blog is inspired by the 11:11 phenomenon, whereby you coincidently look at the clock at 11:11. And also by the Skull-A-Day blog. Posts will normally appear shortly after 11:11 each night. Pictures will be taken at 11:11 pm with my new Nikon Coolpix S-600 10 megapixel point and shoot camera. Photos will be mainly Macro's, but not exclusively.
What do you see?
By the way Simulacra means
1. a slight, unreal, or superficial likeness or semblance.
2. an effigy, image, or representation
P.S. I'm noticing not many of you are clicking the photo to see the full size image, I highly suggest you do, most of these photos are "macro" photo's and can be better appreciated at full resolution, which is 1024 x 768 which is suitable for Desktop backgrounds. Please comment if you are using any of my photos as your Desktop background, atleast try one. Thanks for visiting!
Photo of a Salvador Dali calendar, specifically a Detail of "The disintegration of the persistence of memory" painting. Too bad the clock doesn't read 11:11
Update: Anyone with better Photoshop skills than I, would you Please 'shop this clock to read 11:11. If you do, upload it to flickr and tag it 1111aday, I will then post it as a Bonus post. Use comments to give the photo link.
On this the first post to the 11:11-A-Day Blog I used the two things that inspired this blog in the photo. First inspiration is the 11:11 phenomenon. That's the phenomenon of coincidentally looking at the clock when it's 11:11, and the second inspiration is the blog Skull-A-Day
Hence the digital clock at 11:11 and the Skull-A-Day T-shirt I just received.
Note: time stamp is in military mode, also there may not be text with every photo in future posts. Posts will normally appear shortly after 11:11 each night.
If anybody Knows how to set a nikon camera date/time stamp to something other than military time please leave a comment.
